The UK law is such a mess now with respect to gender and trans rights. I have one document from the government telling me I have the same legal rights as my “acquired gender” and should be treated as such in public life, but the EHRC are telling service providers to not treat me as a woman. #transrights

I’ve got my Gender Recognition Certificate! It does feel quite validating even though I’m not sure what practical use it has. I’m hedging my bets because there is a chance it will become more important in the future eg EHRC policy or changes to equality act #transrights
